As you probably know Tyler, dogs come in various shapes, sizes, and colors.  The breed of a dog will typically tell you what colors his or her hair will be.  I’m an Australian Shepherd, and our breed has merles, bi or tri colors.

Merles have a mottled coloring, usually white and blue-grey or white and red.  Bi and tri colors are usually some combination of black, white, red and tan.

I am a tri-color (black, white and tan), but I did not pick these colors any more than you picked the color of your hair.  If I could have picked my colors, I would have chosen white and green polka dots.
